Rochester Interfaith Jail Ministry
Rochester Interfaith Jail Ministry is an ecumenical ministry that serves incarcerated people in the Monroe County Jail (Plymouth Avenue in Rochester), and in the Monroe Correctional Facility (on East Henrietta Road in Brighton NY). Volunteers make visits in assigned locations within the facilities, assist in contacting families and attorneys, as well as facilitate group counseling sessions. Those wishing to work inside these facilities must attend training classes offered by RIJM, and be approved by the corrections staff.
