Scouts Beyond Bars Scouts Beyond Bars is a program currently in the planning stages that seeks to give children (both boys and girls) of an incarcerated parent or parents the opportunity to visit and bond in the prison or jail, and to participate in structured and scouting activities with one another offered at an outside location. Upon release, incarcerated parents will be encouraged to continue participating with their children in these programs. The model for this program comes from the highly successful "Girl Scouts Beyond Bars" currently offered in over 30 locations around the country. Please check back to this page for updates for this future program. See also Girl Scout Troop 3003 currently hosted by St. Thomas Episcopal Church |
