Youth Intervention and Aftercare Ministries (YIAM)

Programs under YIAM include:

· Tutoring at the Monroe Detention Center

· Tutoring at the Industry Limited Secure Facility

· Tutoring and Mentoring for Industry Aftercare clients at Monroe Square

· Formation of a Girl Scouts Beyond Bars Troop in Rochester

Update:

Work at the Monroe Detention Center is in the planning stages.  Industry Limited Secure facility is also in the early talking stage.  Monroe Square ministry was begun in 2006 and continues with members from St. Peter’s Episcopal Church in partnership with members from Atonement Lutheran Church.  Monroe Square has the potential of working with youth after thy have served their legal custody ends.  This ministry will be expanded.
